Independence Day Parade – Friday, July 4
9:30 to 11 AM
Along Kingston Pike from Lendon Welch Way to Boring Road
Start your Fourth of July off with a bang. The Independence Day Parade is one of Farragut’s biggest and most beloved traditions. We even close Kingston Pike just for the occasion – the only day of the year that we do so! Before the parade, don’t miss the Farragut Freedom Run at 9 AM.
Expect dozens of festive floats, community groups, and lots of patriotic spirit. The Visit Farragut team will be set up by the historic Campbell Station Inn handing out free goodies like collectible cups, pins, temporary tattoos, and cold water to keep you cool.
Where to eat after: You’ll already be near Biddle Farms, so stroll over and treat yourself to crispy chicken from Super Chix, or try some sweet and spicy flavors at CM Chicken.

Party in the Park – Thursday, July 25
6 to 8 PM
McFee Park
This one’s for the kids, but grown-ups will love it too! Come cool off at McFee Park’s splash pad while enjoying music, games, activities, and food trucks galore. Hosted by Farragut Parks and Rec, this event is all about letting loose, having fun, and soaking up that summer energy. Don’t forget sunscreen and a towel and come prepared to party!
Where to eat after: Just around the corner is Big Kahuna Wings, home of legendary wings, mouthwatering sliders, and plenty of kid-friendly options.

Dog Daze – Friday through Sunday, August 15 to 17

Village Green Shopping Center
Calling all dog lovers! Dog Daze is a three-day festival featuring food, shopping, and high-flying canine competition. Shop Farragut is once again teaming up with Dock Dogs International to bring you a splash-filled dog diving event that’s as fun to watch as it is to participate in. Bring your pup and come browse the vendor market, grab a bite, and enjoy a tail-waggin’ good time.
Where to eat after: You’re already in the Village Green lot, so pop into East Japanese Restaurant for some sushi and teriyaki or head just down the road to The Admiral Pub for smash burgers, pub snacks, and a cold brew!

Fun with Farragut’s Fleet – Saturday, August 23
9 to 11 AM
Mayor Bob Leonard Park
If your kid dreams of driving a firetruck, you simply can’t miss this one. Fun with Farragut’s Fleet is a free touch-a-truck event where kids can explore big trucks and equipment, climb into the driver’s seat, and even honk the horn. Meet the crews from Farragut Public Works, the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, and more while learning about the machines that keep Farragut running smoothly.
Where to eat after: Little Joe’s Pizza is just the place to refuel. It’s one of Farragut’s most cherished restaurants and a longtime local favorite for classic pies and family-friendly fun.

Beach Party on the Plaza
6 to 8 PM
Mayor Ralph McGill Plaza
No beach? No problem. Visit Farragut is bringing beachy vibes to the Plaza for the very first Beach Party on the Plaza. Enjoy live classic rock from 103.5 WIMZ’s Garage Band, delicious eats from food trucks, and beach-themed games for all ages. It’s the perfect way to close out the summer with your crew.
