Father’s Day in Farragut: Food, Fun & Outdoor Activities

Father’s Day in Farragut is the kind of day that doesn’t need overplanning—it just needs a good mix of great food, time outdoors, a little friendly competition, and something sweet at the end. Whether you’re a local or visiting for the weekend, Farragut offers plenty of ways to make Dad feel celebrated without ever leaving town.

Here’s a full-day itinerary built around exactly what Father’s Day should be: relaxing, fun, and full of good memories.

Start the Day with Outdoor Fun & Friendly Competition

If your dad loves a little competition, start the day on the greens or at a fun entertainment spot.

Sir Goony’s Family Fun Center is a classic Father’s Day stop. With two 18-hole mini golf courses featuring waterfalls, bridges, and quirky animal obstacles, it’s fun for every age and skill level. It’s the kind of place where the game matters less than the laughs and nobody leaves without a few memorable shots (or missed ones). For even more action, Sir Goony’s also offers go-karts, a splash zone, and paintball (by reservation only—call ahead before planning a paintball match).

If you want to mix things up: Try Topgolf for a modern driving range experience with food, drinks, and games. Visit Farragut Golf & Games for indoor golf and arcade-style fun. It’s perfect if you want to stay cool. Book a round at Willow Creek Golf Club, a great option for dads who prefer a traditional course experience.

Whether Dad is chasing a hole-in-one or just enjoying time with family, Farragut offers plenty of ways to make Father’s Day memorable from the very first swing.

Midday Gift Stops & Local Shopping for Dad

After some time outside, shift gears into a relaxed shopping experience where you can pick out a thoughtful gift or let Dad choose his own adventure.

PGA TOUR Superstore is a go-to stop for Father’s Day gifts. It’s one of the world’s leading retailers for golf, tennis, and pickleball equipment and apparel. Whether you’re looking for clubs, training aids, or a custom fitting experience, the PGA Tour Superstore is an easy win for any sports-loving dad.

For something a little more unique, stop by Hi-Fi & Fly, Farragut’s independent record store. This family-owned shop is packed with new, used, and rare vinyl records, plus vintage clothing and retro treasures.

The vibe is relaxed and welcoming, perfect for crate-digging with Dad, swapping music memories, or discovering something unexpected.

If Dad is into pop culture, cards, or building collections, BrickHouse Collectibles is a must-visit. This locally founded shop, established in 2020, is known for its wide selection of LEGO sets along with Pokémon and Magic: The Gathering cards, comic books, and even sports cards. New items arrive weekly, so there’s always something fresh to discover, whether you’re browsing casually or hunting for a specific piece to complete a collection.

The shop also buys LEGO sets and comic books, making it a great place not just to shop, but to trade and connect with fellow collectors. It’s a nostalgic, hands-on experience that appeals to both lifelong hobbyists and dads who enjoy revisiting the things they loved growing up.

Need something practical? Stop by Elliot’s Boots Shoes Sandals for boots, sandals, and footwear that’s ready for work, weekend, or anything in between.

Fuel Dad with Local Flavor and Laid-Back Energy

By now, it’s time to refuel.

Treat Dad to a memorable Father’s Day lunch at one of Farragut’s favorite local gathering spots. At Dullahan’s Irish Pub, guests can enjoy classic pub fare, a welcoming atmosphere, and more than 24 craft beers on tap. It’s a great choice for dads who appreciate a perfectly poured pint.

Featuring a distinctive indoor-outdoor design, an inviting courtyard and a menu crafted by some of the Knoxville area’s top chefs. Whether Dad prefers a relaxed pub lunch or a vibrant gathering spot, both restaurants provide the perfect setting to celebrate Father’s Day in Farragut.

Afternoon Outdoor Activity: Fishing, Relaxing, or Just Unwinding

With a peaceful fishing pond, walking trails, picnic areas, and scenic lake views, it’s ideal for an easy afternoon together. Bring a chair, cast a line, or just enjoy the breeze.

The energy inside is part honky-tonk, part concert hall, and part all-out party, with live country music and national touring acts setting the tone for the night.

A Coffee Lover’s Guide to Farragut

If you’re anything like me, your day doesn’t officially start until that first sip of coffee, and when you’re visiting a new town, one of the best ways to experience the local flavor is by exploring the coffee scene. Lucky for us, Farragut is full of amazing places to grab a cup (or two) of something delicious. Whether you’re in the mood for a cozy espresso, a decadent seasonal latte, or a classic drip to-go, here are some top coffee spots in Farragut worth checking out.

Summer Moon Coffee

Summer Moon is more than just a coffee shop, it’s a full-on experience. Their signature “Moon Milk,” a sweet, creamy addition to any drink, is what dreams are made of. What really makes Summer Moon stand out is their unique wood-fired roasting process. Each batch is roasted over seasoned Texas oak in handmade brick roasters, producing coffee that’s smooth, bold, and full of depth. The space itself is cozy and inviting, with comfy seating, clean minimalist decor, and a friendly staff ready to help you find your perfect drink. Don’t forget to check out their adorable branded merch; it’s just as charming as the drinks themselves!

My go-to order: Mocha Espresso Milkshake or a bag of their medium roast “Fireside” whole beans to brew at home.

Parlor Doughnuts

If you’re craving something sweet to go with your caffeine fix, Parlor Doughnuts is the place to be. Their signature Layered Doughnuts are massive, flaky, and practically melt in your mouth. With flavors like Churro, Bourbon Caramel, and Turtle Cheesecake, there’s always something new to try. But don’t overlook their coffee menu! They serve up high-quality espresso drinks that pair perfectly with their treats. The vibe is bright and airy, with plenty of space to sit and enjoy your doughnut tower in peace.

My go-to order: Iced Caramel Macchiato paired with the Bourbon Caramel Doughnut. Pure, rich indulgence.

French Market Crêperie

Looking for a little touch of Paris in East Tennessee? French Market Crêperie delivers just that. It’s Knoxville’s first authentic French crêpe restaurant, and their Farragut location brings all the charm, with both sweet and savory options made fresh to order. Their coffee, sourced from LavAzza, is rich and creamy, with a European-style boldness you won’t find just anywhere. The café’s quiet, charming atmosphere makes it a great spot for a slower morning or brunch catch-up.

My go-to order: Frozen Chai Latte with the Bavarian Cream crêpe. Très délicieux!

Admiral’s Dough Joe

Admiral’s Dough Joe is one of those places that just feels like home. This locally owned shop is a beloved staple in Farragut, known for their handmade donuts, fresh cinnamon rolls, and locally roasted coffee. The nautical-themed décor pays homage to the town’s namesake, Admiral Farragut, and adds a playful, cozy charm. They roast their own “Donut Blend” coffee, which is100% Arabica beans roasted to pair perfectly with their sweets. It’s no wonder they’ve become a go-to morning stop for so many locals.

My go-to order: Caramel Latte with a decadent Blueberry Fritter. Get there early; they sell out fast!

Status Dough

From fresh-baked cake and yeast doughnuts to Intelligentsia coffee, Status Dough really delivers on flavor and quality. Their coffee is seriously great, with expertly pulled espresso and seasonal offerings like the Honey Lavender Latte – and their doughnuts are some of the best around! It’s a fantastic place to grab a quick treat or relax with a warm cup and a book. And for something different, check out their new pizza menu, available Wednesday through Sunday evenings!

My go-to order: The Cubano with a Chocolate Old-Fashioned doughnut. They serve up coffeehouse comfort at its best.

Flying Biscuit Café

Flying Biscuit Café might be new to Farragut, but it’s already winning hearts. Famous for their fluffy biscuits and rich, creamy grits, this Southern-inspired brunch spot also serves a full espresso menu; everything from mochas to cappuccinos to boozy brunch favorites like espresso martinis. No matter what time of day you’re stopping by, the food is hearty and comforting, and the coffee is always smooth and satisfying.

My go-to order: Iced Mocha and Stuffed French Toast. The perfect mix of sweet and strong.

Einstein Bros. Bagels

Einstein Bros. may be most known for their bagels (and rightfully so), but their coffee lineup deserves attention too. Made from 100% Arabica beans and brewed fresh throughout the day, they offer everything from classic drip to creamy cold brews and blended shakes. The laid-back, quick-service atmosphere makes it an easy stop whether you’re heading to work or looking for a quick and tasty lunch break.

My go-to order: Caramel Cream Cold Brew with the Tasty Turkey sandwich. Ideal for a midday pick-me-up.

Dunkin’ & Starbucks

You can’t go wrong with a classic. Farragut has two Dunkin’ locations – one on N. Campbell Station and another on Kingston Pike near Watt Road – as well as a conveniently located Starbucks near Elkmont Station. Whether you’re a loyal fan of the pink and orange or the green siren, these staples have your usuals ready fast. They’re perfect when you’re in a hurry or craving your familiar favorite.

My Dunkin’ pick: French Vanilla Iced Macchiato and a blueberry donut (or two!).
My Starbucks pick: Caramel Frappuccino with a warmed slice of banana nut bread.

Whether you’re a die-hard dark roast fan or someone who loves a seasonal latte with extra whipped cream, Farragut has a coffee shop (or three) that fits the bill. From cozy local spots to nationally loved favorites, each of these cafés offers something unique, and they’re all worth a visit.

So next time you’re in town, treat yourself to a cup from one of these spots. Who knows, you might just find your new favorite sip!

Five of Farragut’s Most Stylish and Aesthetic Hangouts

Farragut is full of beautiful, unique businesses that each boast their own distinctive style and aesthetic. We love seeing businesses that fully commit to their individual style. They showcase their brands through every detail—from wall décor to menu options and seating arrangements. While there are countless options to choose from, we’ve selected five of our favorite aesthetically pleasing businesses in Farragut that have mastered the art of honing their style and making themselves stand out in the best way possible. Here are five memorably aesthetic hangouts in town for you to check out!

Summer Moon Coffee

The first thing you notice while stepping into this spacious café is the natural light pouring in through the large storefront windows. The charming fireplace seating area and the clean, tiled walls behind the counter further enhance the bright, open atmosphere. Together, they evoke a chic midcentury modern aesthetic.

A standout feature of Summer Moon Coffee is the merch display in front of the counter, which perfectly encapsulates the brand’s overall aesthetic. The attention to detail extends even to the design of their merchandise. For the full experience, try some of our favorites, their Raspberry Moon Drop drink or the Blue Moon Latte.

Sparrow Wine Bar

The folks in Farragut know Sparrow Wine Bar for its extensive wine selection, comfortable atmosphere, and eclectic, moody décor. Antique items adorn the shelves and side tables, while gold-framed pictures hang gallery-style on the dark blue walls. The dim, cozy lighting creates an atmosphere that is both elegant and inviting. The décor features a rich array of textures and colors. So, too, do the charcuterie boards (crafted by the Euphoric Cheese Shop next door). The more you explore Sparrow, the more delightful treasures you’ll uncover.

Cotton Eyed Joe

Cotton Eyed Joe is a true maximalist’s paradise. Semi-truck cabs lit with neon, disco ball bull skulls, horse saddle bar stools, and much more fill this massive, open space. The expansive dance floor is illuminated by stage lights, neon signs, and string lights. The venue exudes an electric, party-esque ambiance that’s full of energy.

No matter where you stand in the club, the atmosphere immerses you in the vibrant, eclectic excitement. The line dancing and upbeat music makes Cotton Eyed Joe one of our most energizing aesthetic hangouts. Be sure to check out their moonshine bar or sample some of their delicious Quick Bites or Joe’s Famous Wings!

Island Fin Poké

Stepping into Island Fin Poké feels like being transported to a Hawaiian paradise. At the front is a cozy seating area, and at the back is a beautiful island mural. In between those are vibrant painted surfboards all along the walls. Every aspect of the space invites you to relax and enjoy the island vibes. The couch at the front, surrounded by palm trees and set against a rustic wood backdrop, makes for a perfect photo op! Be sure to try one of the delicious poké bowls, and save room for their Dole soft serve for dessert!

French Market Crêperie

French Market Crêperie takes you straight to Paris with its Tiffany blue walls, fleur-de-lis décor, delicate chandeliers, and casually chic aesthetic. The authentic French crêpes on the menu are as picture-perfect as they are delicious! French Market also features a dog-friendly patio, so you can bring your pup along for some adorable photos.

Bandit’s Day Out: A Dog-Friendly Adventure

Farragut, TN, is a gem for dog owners, offering plenty of spots where your furry friend can join in the fun. Recently, Bandit and I took a tour of some of the most dog-friendly Farragut spots. From treats to trails, here’s a look at our adventure.

Summer Moon Coffee

We started our day at Summer Moon Coffee, where Bandit was thrilled to find out they offer a special treat just for pups. While I enjoyed a delicious Mocha Moon Latte, and my companion sipped on a Chai Latte (she’s not much of a coffee fan), Bandit happily devoured his pup cup on the cozy outdoor patio. The highlight? He got to order his treat himself at the walk-up window—talk about service!

River Dog Bakery

Next up was River Dog Bakery, a paradise for dogs. This store is packed with treats, toys, bandanas, and all kinds of pet supplies. They even bake their own dog treats, which are as creative as they are tasty. Bandit picked out an octopus-shaped biscuit from their underwater critters collection and couldn’t get enough of it. If you’re looking to spoil your pup, this is the place to go.

McFee Park

After indulging at the bakery, it was time to burn off some energy, so we headed to McFee Park. With its expansive lawns and open spaces, it’s a dream for dogs who love to run. Bandit had a blast practicing his training and enjoying the freedom of the wide-open area. The park even has dog-friendly water fountains, so he stayed hydrated while I relaxed by the pavilion.

Mayor Bob Leonard Park

Our next stop was Mayor Bob Leonard Park, another beautiful spot in Farragut. This time, we took a more leisurely pace, strolling along the shaded trails. Bandit made a few new friends and posed like a champ on the walking bridge, perfect for a quick photo op. The park also has water fountains just for dogs, which Bandit was grateful for after all that exercise.

Sparrow Wine Bar

To end our day, we visited Sparrow Wine Bar. They offer a special “bark-cuterie board” for dogs, featuring an assortment of meats, cheeses, veggies, and crackers. After a full day of running around, Bandit was more than ready for another snack. We relaxed on the patio, where we could enjoy a drink and our own charcuterie boards while Bandit enjoyed his.

As we headed home, Bandit, content and full, quickly fell asleep in the car. It was the perfect ending to a day filled with fun, food, and plenty of tail-wagging adventures exploring dog-friendly Farragut.
