When you step through the massive front door of the Campbell Station Inn, you might wonder, why is this door so big? Imagine walking through it in the 1800s wearing a full petticoat or hoop skirt, and suddenly it makes perfect sense.⁠ ⁠ As you enter the grand foyer, take in the gorgeous, rich original wood flooring beneath your feet, the stunning grand staircase, and the beautiful artwork lining the walls on display courtesy of talented local artists from the Tennessee Artists Association. Even the paint colors surrounding the foyer reflect hues the home was historically painted, adding another layer of authenticity to the space.⁠ ⁠ This grand foyer is more than just an entryway. It’s the first step into the incredible structure that is the Campbell Station Inn. It once welcomed notable figures such as President Andrew Jackson and King (then Prince) Louis Philippe I. During the Civil War, this very room greeted wounded soldiers as they were brought inside for care, offering comfort during a time of national turmoil.⁠ ⁠ From weary travelers and lively partygoers to soldiers, presidents, and kings, this grand foyer has greeted them all. And now, it’s here to greet you.⁠ ⁠ Come visit the Campbell Station Inn and experience the historic beauty of a home that has stood proudly since 1832. Today, we’re stepping into the Avery Russell Room at the Campbell Station Inn! This beautiful space serves a dual purpose: it’s our rentable event room (available for rentals beginning in February) and a stunning gallery showcasing artwork from talented local artists through the Tennessee Artists Association.⁠ ⁠ In addition to the rotating artwork, the Avery Russell Room is also home to one of the Inn’s preserved historic walls, where guests can see layers of history revealed through brick, plaster, and wallpaper, just like in our Historical Room. It’s a unique glimpse into the past that adds even more character to the space.⁠ ⁠ Each piece of art on display is created by a local artist and is not only here to be admired, but is also available for purchase! The artwork will rotate quarterly, so be sure to stop by throughout the year to see how the art (and the Inn!) continues to evolve.⁠ ⁠ Come take a look, get inspired, and imagine your next gathering in this special space! Step inside the Historical Room at the Campbell Station Inn and take a walk through time. 🕰️⁠ This special space features several artifacts that once belonged to the Inn, along with preserved sections of the building itself where you can see layers of wallpaper, hand-stenciling, plaster, and even brick that tell the story of this centuries-old home.⁠ ⁠ You’ll also find a thoughtfully arranged collection of history brochures and museum cards to help you dive deeper into the story of the Inn and the town of Farragut. Whether you’re a history buff or just curious about the past, this room brings the layers of time to life.⁠ ⁠ Come visit and get your dose of history! This week we’re exploring the rooms of the Campbell Station Inn, and today we’re starting in one of our favorites, the Gift Shop! Inside you’ll find all kinds of fun, Farragut-inspired items, including t-shirts, art prints, hats, tote bags, bandanas, and more, all celebrating our town and the historic Campbell Station Inn. Some of the items were even designed by incredible local artist Paris Woodhull!⁠ ⁠ This room is also home to our Visitor’s Guide Wall, filled with helpful local guides and brochures to help you discover everything Farragut has to offer and make the most of your visit.⁠ ⁠ Come browse, explore, and take a little piece of Farragut home with you. Featuring incredible pieces from a variety of talented local artists, the Inn is now filled with color, creativity, and storytelling.⁠ ⁠ Even better, this collection will be rotated quarterly, so there will always be something new and inspiring to discover. Join us for the Grand Opening of the Campbell Station Inn on Thursday, January 8, from 4:30–6 PM.⁠ ⁠ Guests are invited to enjoy light refreshments and a meet-and-greet with local artists from the Tennessee Art Association, proudly partnering with the Town of Farragut to showcase rotating artwork on a quarterly basis inside the Campbell Station Inn.⁠ ⁠ For years, residents and visitors have made memories at the Plaza through summer concert nights, chalk art competitions, skating, and outdoor movies.
